James K. Davis

Jim Davis received a B.A. in Commerce from the University of Alabama in 1954. He was a member of the varsity football team lettering three years, President of the "A" Club, and he received an award for the highest scholastic average of a graduating letterman in the School of Commerce. Following graduation, he served three years in the United States Air Force. His last assignment being a B-47 jet bomber pilot.

Jim obtained a law degree from the University of Alabama in 1960. While there he was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and he was President of the law school student body. Upon graduation from law school, Jim served as District Attorney for the 24th Judicial Circuit of Alabama. He became a member of the law firm of Fite, Davis and Fite in 1970 and served with the same firm and its successors until the present date.

He is a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ where he has served as an Elder. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from International Bible College in Florence, Alabama, where he has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Jim is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
