Todd Atkinson received a B.A. in Political Science in 1986 from the University of Alabama, and a law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 1989. After graduation from law school, he returned to his hometown to become a partner in the law firm of Fite, Davis, Atkinson and Bentley, P.C., predecessor to the present firm.

Todd and his family attend church at the Winfield First United Methodist Church where he is currently serving as the Chairman of the Administrative Board and has previously served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and Lay Leader for the congregation. Todd is a member of the American Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Alabama Bar Association and Alabama Trial Lawyers Association.

Todd was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1989 and is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of Alabama and in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
